Family Long Drive

Just got back from a nice dinner at a coffeeshop along Haig Road. The prata there is quite ok and the best part is that they will always have vegetable curry to eat the prata with. It was a late dinner and we went for a long drive along Old Upper Thomson Road.

I love the road as it is small, narrow and it feels as if I was driving in another country. Wish there were more roads like that in Singapore. It makes driving a lot more relaxing than speeding down ECP or PIE or the second most pleasant expressway, the KPE as cars there cannot overtake other cars due to the speed cameras and the low speed limit of 70 km/h.

I need to find more places in Singapore to drive.

I Am Now My Father

Just a sudden realization that I have become so much like my father. My wife laughs at me whenever I exhibit behaviors which mirror my father - especially when I am hungry and she is being very difficult by wanting Indian snacks like bhel puri and pani puri in the middle of Chinatown.

Life is hard and 2009 is really very very hard. I have become a typical family man worrying about everything - work, son's education, family well-being and more importantly - how to make ends meet and most importantly how to pay the bills.

It is time to make my life a little more interesting by sharing with the world my thoughts.

This is my attempt at a little immortality as this will definitely outlive me and who knows, centuries later, it may become as valuable as a piece of broken porcelain in the ground.
